Although I only read three of the books I had on my initial list from last year, I managed to read 12 books and complete the challenge by adding new books to the collection and completing some trilogies. <strong>The books I read last year were<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Los Asesinos del Emperador, by Santiago Posteguillo. (Book that inspired the movie&nbsp;Blade Runner) <a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/2iYyJPn\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Buy<\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>I think it was a good year<\/strong>. I managed to read <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kevinmaschke.com\/en\/books\/space-odyssey-arthur-c-clarke\/\">Arthur C. Clarke&#8217;s complete Space Odyssey<\/a>, and the<a href=\"http:\/\/www.kevinmaschke.com\/en\/books\/shattered-sea-trilogy-joe-abercrombie\/\"> Shattered Sea Trilogy by Joe Abercrombie<\/a>. Arthur C. Clarke was also my most read author in 2016. It&#8217;s an author I really like and I hope to read some more of his novels this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Literary Challenge of 2017<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>This year I&#8217;ve decided to increase the number of books slightly, to 15<\/strong>. So let&#8217;s see if I manage a good start and complete this challenge without problems. And, <strong>I will start as last year, with the books I already have home<\/strong>, which are also some more than last year. (Eigth part of the &#8220;Warrior Chronicles \/ Saxon Tales&#8221;). <a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/2kpLO1X\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Buy<\/a><\/li><li>Flowers for Algernon, by Daniel Keyes. \u2714 <a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/2jObLsW\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Buy<\/a><\/li><li>A column of fire, by Ken Follet (#3 of the Kingsbridge Trilogy).<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As you can see,&nbsp;<strong>some books from last year remain on the list<\/strong> while others have been added. That&#8217;s the problem I have. Book store I see, book I buy. But that doesn&#8217;t have to be bad. This way I have a wider selection and I even have two entire trilogies waiting to be read. At the moment I&#8217;m reading &#8220;La Legi\u00f3n Perdida&#8221;, to finish the Trajan Trilogy, and I may write a small article once I finish it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So without further delays, on to the literary challenge of 2017!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>And you, what are you going to read?<\/strong> Comment below if you have any suggestion or question!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As I did last year, this 2017 I want to have my own literary challenge again!
